Sweet little felt bag……………..

Hi Sweet-peas…

I am running so behind with posts…….so we are now skipping back to last Saturday when the very sweet Sue, Helen and Caitlin from
Dunedin Wears The Pants, travelled from Dunedin to the shop.
I was so very surprised when they gave me the most gorgeous present…………a stunning 1930/40's handmade felt bag………..I just love these carpet felt work bags…...this one was probably a knitting-bag, look at the pretty classic design……...just so beautiful. Thank you lovely ladies.
I couldn't wait to take it out that night when Warren and I went to the the Hospice Fashion show in Milton.
These photographs are taken just before we walked down the road to the Coronation Hall to watch the parade. We are so lucky to have this lovely park right beside 'Two Squirrels', in the centre is the war memorial and around beautiful trees with park benches to enjoy.
Please excuses my scruffy velvet coat with the ripped collar…….I have fixed it so so many times and it just keeps tearing….grrrr. I'll add that to the already massive repair pile…..oh well.
I hope your week is just scrumptious…...

love V

  1. A sweet little bag for a sweet wee lassie lighting up my day. The green coat is so scrumptiously gorgeous, I don't think I could ever bear to stow it in the mending pile for too long despite its persistence in having its own way. You are an absolute delight and that gorgeous jacket ... sigh. xoxooxoxox

  6. The bag is sweet, but I have to admit, I cannot take my eyes off that fabulous green velvet coat! I don't notice anything scruffy about it. (I have a sweater like that, though, that keeps getting holes that I keep sewing up...I just can't let go of it.)

You look scrummy, never mind the repeat offender, she might need a little backing of some sort to maintain her beauty!

  11. What a gorgeous bag, just the perfect gift for you! I see a lot of china with crinoline ladies on, usually dressed in pink or yellow, and the bag reminds me of that. Your velvet coat is beautiful, despite needing some TLC - don't we all?!
Delicious rosy frock, lovely park, and darling Miss V! xxxx
