Hope gone!

We had one wee leaf of hope hanging on the tree for Two Squirrels, our wee shop in the Cashel Mall.
Today we found out that leaf is about to drop.
The landlords structural engineer has told us that the building is to unsafe to enter. So Two Squirrels will be demolished in the next few weeks with all of our vintage treasures.
Hope drops with tears that fall!!!

  1. Oh Vanessa and Warren...I've only been following your blog for a tiny while (well, only one day to be exact!) and had no idea about what has been going on with your little shop...I am so sorry, it must be absolutely heart-breaking and soul destroying and just awful for you both. I'm not sure what to say, but I'm thinking of you and wishing you all the very best wishes and positive thoughts I can muster.

  2. I'm so sorry. I know there's nothing I can say to comfort you, but I'm thinking of you both. I've bought things from both your shops before and they are amongst my favourite clothes.

  3. Dear Vanessa and Warren, I am so sorry that the building will have to be bought down. So very sad.
Sending you love and hugs xxx

  4. Oh Vanessa, I am so so sorry to hear this. My heart just breaks for you both. I wish there was something I could do - but I know that, even though things are bad right now, you are both such special people that something wonderful just has to be around the corner. x

  5. Thinking of you guys today, it is so sad and I'm just hoping something wonderful will rise out of the rubble for you. The most valuable asset you have is your wonderful 'eye' for beauty and this you still have. xoxo

  6. O,no. I'm so sorry to hear that news.
Something wonderful will come up,I just know it.Stay positive, the most important thing i that you have each other.

  7. Sweet Vanessa, I'm so sorry to read this awful news. I've told Mum and she's equally upset. Just try to be grateful you have each other, and a house, and friends who love you both x

  8. Vanessa and Waz,
So sorry that your long wait has ended this way.
Our hearts go out for you in the hope of a fast coming spring and long draw out summer.

    Dawn and Gary

  9. Very sorry to hear about the shop. It must be so heartbreaking after all the hard work you put into it.
I know whatever you do from here will be a success because you are so good at looking after people - as you have taken care of all your customers in the past!
