Oh that fabulous find................

As vintage and retro lovers we all have those special treasures we would love to find one day.

When that day comes it really is super exciting.

To find a piece of 'CC41' clothing in New Zealand is very rare............so you can only imagine the magic I felt when I came across this wonderful minty green linen dress.......eeekk and a couple of amazing woollen blankets.

Many of you will know the importance of these items.

'CC41' stood for Civilian Clothing 1941, also known as 'Utility Clothing'

As part of the austerity measures during the 2nd World War a line of clothing was introduced.

Simple designs with very tight restrictions on fabric, buttons and detail.

A wonderful piece of history.
