Hello lovely sweet-peas.....

Tomorrow is ANZAC day.

A man I never meet gave his life on the other side of the world.
My great uncle William Saunders was killed in 1944 aged 24 years.
He lost his future in this world because of war.
We will honour him..................
we will honour all those who fought for our freedom.

'Lest we forget'

  1. That's the same age as my eldest stepson - and he's still a tender butterfly. What a beautiful picture xxx

  2. 24... so very young.
    Gorgeous photos, darling Miss V.
How are you? I miss you! xxx

  3. May we always honor and respect those who fought so bravely x x x

  4. What a handsome man.
    May we never forget. X

  5. Such a poignant post - thanks for sharing some of your history with us. Lest we forget.

  6. This is a beautiful tribute to your grand-uncle and all those who served.

I honor WWI veterans by rewatching the final episode of Black Adder: "Good Luck, Everyone." The final shot of a field of poppies never fails to silence my busy brain.
