Relishing every moment........

Hello sweet-peas....

Last week I made a batch of relish with the last of the glasshouse tomatoes.
I used a classic recipe from the good old "Edmonds" cookbook. This recipe book is the must have in any kitchen, my mum has one and so did my grandma. Since my grandma was in my thoughts I decided to wear an apron that was hers (defiantly vintage), she was a wonderful baker, her pavolva's were amazing.
She also made great jams and relishes.....so lets hope she was looking down on me and sending good energy. I have already made two lots from this recipe and it is really yummy.

From vintage store owner to kitchen nana......

yip and relishing every moment

Love V

  1. Oh heavens how I LOVE tomato relish and your lovely grandmother was surely nearby smiling at you stirring the pot wearing her apron:). What would we do without Edmonds? I'm on my second book after my first one, from around 23 years ago, decided it was time to fall to bits. Thank heavens it's still replaceable:). The pics of your cooking process are absolutely gorgeous - I can TASTE the spice in the relish !!! xoxo

  2. Ah, wonderful! Those tomatoes from your glasshouse are just beyond pretty...it's going to be awhile here yet before we can get nice tomatoes in Michigan, so I am very jealous. And that relish looks so delicious!
