She has waited for her DEBUT........

Can you imagine waiting 60 years to have your day in the sun, you know it will come but how long will it take and who will it be with???
This beautiful late 1950's rayon dress with original swing tags(old shop stock), has travelled all the way from New York city.I brought her from the beautiful Amy at Wildfell Hall Vintage.

Amy has beautiful vintage treasures in her Etsy shop, this was my very first purchase on Etsy and like a big girl I did it all by myself. I set up the purchasing and the paypal account. For a computer Muppet I was pretty happy it was so easy.

The sun was out and it was a beautiful day for a DEBUT..... so
I meet my very gorgeous friend Terry, who was over from Australia for a coffee.

  5. I adore finding vintage treasures ith tags still on! I always wonder how on earth items end up where they do, what was the journey? How did Miss New York end up, never worn, in New Zealand?
The dress is lovely, she certainly deserves her day in the sun. So do you! Your wavy hair is beautiful, and I'm a fan of the little spider, love the web detail.
Have a happy weekend, Miss V! xxxxxx

  9. being a bit arachnophobic, I love and hate that brooch in equal measure, leaning more towards love because of it's fragile Victorian look.

Lovely dress and that powder blue looks stunning!

  10. First i want to say thank you so much for your lovely comment over at mine and for your lovely wishes about Dylan. All went well although he is very sore and making a very grumpy patient but i can understand why bless him. You look gorgeous love the dress and your hair looks so sweet. I love brooches and never leave the house without one or even 2. But i have to say i couldn't wear a spider i have a love hate relationship with them ;-)) Have a lovely weekend and i will pop back again soon now i have hit the follow button. dee xx

  11. I want to stroke, paw and grope everything you're wearing!!! The coat is the most glorious shade of blue, GAH the brooch is incredible and I have to say your beautiful smile is your BEST accessory!! As for the frock, what an incredible feeling it must have been to snip those old tags off and be the first person to ever wear that glorious number:)) xo
