Tee Hee, we have had a wee secret.......

Oh my gosh we are so excited to finally tell you lovely sweet-peas this news!!!!!

A little church mouse told us that he would be so happy to have two wee traveling squirrels move into his lovely cute 1924 brick church in Lawrence.
This is going to be a wonderful new home and we are so so happy.

"St Brigids"

We will be starting this new chapter in our lives on the 25th February 2013.

Summer......

Hi Sweet-peas......

The squirrels have spent a lovely weekend in Lawrence at the "Summer Arts Festival".
With a weekend pass in hand we were off to see the creative works of art displayed in the shops all down the main street of this quaint wee town.

To my delight I meet a gorgeous woman who I studied photography with at one of the exhibitions and we had a great catch up!

The weekend had a theme of 'creating a hat' so I just had to wear one!
Oh how I wished I had some of my wee vintage treasures that are still in storage. Anyway to make do I bought a plain black hat and attached a fabulous 60's vintage pink bow head-piece I found for $5.00, then using some of my very redundant floristry skills I made a corsage and rose for my hair.

Then it was time for fresh raspberries and ice-cream in the park.

Perfect summer days...

TWO...............

Hello sweet-peas!!!!

Guess who is two today?????

This little blog is......

We celebrated with lamingtons and candles!!!

Naughty Warren (the super furry one) squirrel munched his before we got to light it, grrrr.

We had a look back over the posts for the two years and would have to say it has been a crazy ride.
On one hand we had some of the saddest, heartbreaking and truly horrible times, on the other magnificent adventures, whimsical playtime and delightful moments that will stay with us forever.
To all who have followed us, left lovely comments or just been interested to see what we are up too.

We say THANK YOU!!!!

Stayed tuned my lovely poppets we have some more adventures to come.....

New Coat=Happiness..........

Hello sweet-peas!!!

Thank you for all your lovely comments on the house hunting, I am sure something will turn up again that we will fall in love with and this time lets hope we can make it our home.

In the mean time why not do some op-shopping to take our mind off things.....
Yip that sounds like a plan.
First to my favorite Dunedin op-shop, "Shop on Carrol", I always seem to find a wee gem and the lovely ladies there always make you feel so special.
And look at SPECIAL, this gorgeous tartan 1970's swing coat by Society. It even rained so I had the chance to wear it. The polka-dot scarf was a perfect present from Warren's mum and dad, they know me so well. The cute wee navy satchel is from "Modern Miss.
Which leads me to this......

I have a very big favour to ask all you vintage loving poppets.......

The beautiful Miss Violet from "Modern Miss" has had the most horrible thing happen to her, and sadly I can understand completely. At New Year she had a terrible flood in her wonderful shop after her roof could not handle the volume of rain. Many treasured vintage items were destroyed and she has had to close the shop for repairs.
Above the shop in the Whiteroom she is having a big sale, please please go along and support her.
Its so important to help her to re-open.

It was not meant to be.........

Hi Sweet-peas

Sorry for the lack of posts.
We have been feeling a little down after two wonderful properties we both would have loved to live in have not worked out. The finding, dreaming, discussing and making an offer is a very big roller coaster ride, and when you miss out it takes a lot to get over the disappointment. They were both very unique properties and it would have been so much fun to start this next faze of our lives in either one of them.

But that wonderful saying........

It was not meant to be......

Rings true!!!!!

So yesterday we had breakfast by the beach and just reflected on what is our beautiful home at the moment....

The road in Basil.
