Blue dress take three....

Hmmm I just looked at the last three days posts and its all about the blue dresses this week.
This wee dress I brought way back at the start of the year and it's been waiting ever since for it's day in the sun or ivy.
Lovely fresh floral pattern in a easy to wear style, homemade, cotton and today worn with sneakers as miss V has sore feet from ironing for three hours last night.
Why ironing??? Because sweet-peas it's only a week till the nest (pop-up shop) is open! Oh yeah!!!!
On Sunday night we will post all the secret squirrel details on where the nest is and times. Oh nuts better get more ironing done.

60's cotton cutie!!!

I was joking that this wee homemade cotton 60's was very "twiggy" like, but on me in was more "branchy"!!!!
I really like the cut but after seeing these photo's, I am to big and curvy for it. So into the wash and into the nest for some else to love.
Talking about the curves it's time to move some of the "C" from mine.
Stop cookies, chocolate, cake and chippies!!!! You shall not pass my lips.
Seven days to the nest is open!!!!!
Eeeeekkkk!

Oh so not a model!!!

Coffee treat!

Needed a break from home!!!
So needed to get dressed up and pop on a frock! Over the overalls.
This is the great wee frock I found in the Invercargill Savemart. Nice 50's style but poly cotton, homemade so think it's 70's.
This is a good blue for me, and the pattern has wee butterflies on it, pretty.
Yummy lunch at the lovely "cafe de la Gare" at the Rangiora railway station.
Beautiful sunny day again, thanks weather fairies.

Love a full skirt!

Guess where I am???

On the big countdown

The garden is ready.....

The day it all got squashed!

It's hard to believe sweet-peas but it is six months since the big earthquake that destroyed so many lives.
It's so sad to look back at all that has happened.
My wee heart is still sad when I remember our two lovely treasure shops.
Tete a Tete and Two Squirrels vintage are just a memory as we knew them.
Bless all those who have lost so much and may the future be filled with sparkles of happiness.
Love V&W

Spots and flowers!

This is such a cute hairclip. It's has crochet flowers on it. I brought it a the English Park market from the most gorgeous sweet-pea, she said her sister made them. I just wish I had brought more. Poo.

Break time!

Sorry it's more of the same thing today.
More washing and more gardening!!!
So scruffy wee squirrel again.
This is such a refreshing drink to make, the little splash of elderflower is so so yummy.

Refreshing drink in the making

Garden girl

The day was so beautiful again with the sun shining and blue skies.
We both were very busy little squirrels.
I did a massive amount of hand washing and cleaning treasure for the shop.
We also did lots of gardening and cleaning up the property for when all you poppets come to play vintage shop.
The most fun was going and buying some pretty flowers.
Garden clothes today, sorry a wee scruffy squirrel.

Such a special coat!!!

I brought this about 2 years ago. I still remember the day, I had grin from ear to ear. Oh oh, but the piece de resistance was that this beautiful wool gabardine coat circa 1950's was never worn. The buttons and the pockets were still sewn down and the original tags were attached.
Heaven is a vintage coat that is new to you!!!!!!

Say cheese!!!

Milore

These are such beautiful gloves to wear they are so pretty for a leather glove.

Beautiful gloves

New favourite dress

I have many many dresses!!!! Hmmm that sentence probably needs a hundred more many's in it.
It's so much fun when you find new ways of wearing a recent acquisition.
So here is the navy polka dot dress with a fresh green knit jersey & polka dot 70's jacket.
The great vinyl travel bag from the 60's was a lovely find in a vintage shop in Nelson.
Perfect for an afternoon with a gorgeous friend.
